Maximum power and reduced emissions for your turbo diesel
The Boost Cooler Stage 3 TD water injection system by SNOW Performance enables a performance increase of up to 10–25% for turbo diesel engines without overloading the engine thermally. By cooling the intake air by up to 60°C and effectively lowering the exhaust gas temperature, thermal stress is reduced and torque is increased – ideal even for already tuned engines.
The advanced digital 2D controller has been designed to reduce specific fuel consumption in virtually all load conditions. The Stage 3 controller variably controls a small Boost Cooler injector across the entire power curve. This increases combustion efficiency, resulting in more power without increasing fuel consumption. The improved efficiency leads to better fuel economy. Typically, depending on the vehicle and driving style, fuel savings range from 5–15%.
Once the previously set load range on the LCD instrument is reached, the patented high-pressure pump injects finely atomised water or a water/alcohol mixture (methanol or ethanol) into the hot intake air. This evaporative cooling improves combustion efficiency and significantly reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) formation.
With the integrated dual stage technology, two Boost Cooler atomising nozzles are used. The primary nozzle starts injecting early for temperature control, while the secondary nozzle is activated under high load. The result is enhanced cooling and maximum performance – ideal for towing vehicles and demanding applications on road and track.
STAGE 3 TD
CONTROLLER
The multiple award-winning Boost Cooler Stage 3 turbo diesel controller from SNOW Performance progressively controls the water or water-alcohol injection amount based on boost pressure and exhaust gas temperature. The desired start and full injection points are easily entered via the included LCD display. The controller then creates a 2D injection map for optimal injection across all load ranges. By using both boost pressure and exhaust gas temperature, the Stage 3 controller enables highly precise water-methanol injection control, especially for towing applications (caravans, motorhomes, trucks, etc.).
In addition to the primary nozzle, a second nozzle can be independently activated by the controller. – This ensures optimal use of cooling and performance in all turbo diesel load conditions. The progressive injection of water or water/methanol based on the 2D mapping is very precise and positively impacts cooling and engine performance across the widest possible engine load range.

OPTIMAL COOLING
Water injection effectively cools the intake air through evaporative cooling, reducing the intake temperature by up to 60°C. This enables higher air density and more oxygen for combustion. Furthermore, combustion temperatures within the cylinder are lowered (in-cylinder cooling), leading to better performance and improved efficiency.

Dual Stage injection – maximum performance under heavy load!
The Boost Cooler Stage 3 TD control unit is equipped with a second output, enabling control of an additional, larger nozzle (“Power Mode”). This second nozzle is activated depending on boost pressure and exhaust gas temperature, and can be flexibly configured to ensure maximum cooling and power delivery in high-load conditions. Integrating a water-methanol injection system in turbo diesel engines enables significant reductions in nitrogen oxide (NOx) and soot emissions. Studies show that NOx emissions can be reduced by up to 30%, and soot particles by up to 70%. At the same time, fuel efficiency is improved, with savings of up to 5–15%, depending on vehicle type, driving style, and application (e.g. towing vehicle).
LESS DEPOSITS IN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER
Thanks to cleaner combustion with the Boost Cooler, fewer soot particles and carbon compounds are produced that could lead to deposits. Water injection also prevents temperatures in areas like the exhaust valves or piston zones from getting too high. Excessive heat encourages oil coking by burning and breaking down the oil faster. This cleaning effect is not only preventative but can also help reduce existing deposits (oil coking).

Each pump is manufactured in the USA and individually tested before shipping to ensure quality and reliability. While there are pumps that look similar, they lack the unique features of our SNOW Performance pumps.
Dual EPDM seals ensure durability and higher pressure. Proprietary internal wiring provides lower power consumption, and the integrated thermal switch protects against overheating, ensuring consistent performance and maximum service life. – Perfect for daily driving, off-road, and track use.

Hyper-Sonic Injection Nozzles
Optimal performance starts with optimal cooling
The Hyper-Sonic injection nozzles from SNOW Performance use a patented dual-chamber design to swirl fluids at supersonic speed through a Venturi opening. This produces ultra-fine droplets down to 20µm (microns), allowing for highly efficient evaporative cooling.
Scientific studies (e.g. SAE Paper 2021-01-0398) confirm: The smaller the droplets, the better the cooling – with direct impact on engine performance and efficiency. Combustion also runs cooler and more controlled, which is especially beneficial for high-load or tuned engines.

3l Reservoir Tank with Level Indicator
The 3l Boost Cooler reservoir tank ensures reliable supply for your water-methanol injection system. The integrated level indicator with warning LED (orange), designed for interior mounting, provides early alerts for low levels and protects the system from running dry. Ready for connection to our 1/4″ pressure line.
