Maximum power and reduced emissions for your turbo diesel
The Boost Cooler Stage 2.5 TD water injection by SNOW Performance enables a power increase of up to 10–25% in turbo diesel engines, without thermally overloading the engine. By cooling the charge air by up to 60°C and effectively lowering the exhaust gas temperature, thermal stress is reduced and torque increased – ideal even for already tuned engines.
The new Boost Cooler Stage 2.5 TD system is designed for all turbo diesel engines up to 3.5 bar boost pressure and offers excellent value for money. As with the Stage 2 and Stage 3 systems, the injection quantity is electronically regulated via boost pressure and offers optimised, variable injection control compared to the Stage 1 system.
Once the previously set boost pressure is reached on the 52mm OLED gauge, the patented high-pressure pump injects finely atomised water or a water/alcohol mix (methanol or ethanol) into the hot charge air. This evaporative cooling results in improved combustion efficiency and significantly reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) formation.
With the optional Dual Stage upgrade, two Boost Cooler atomising nozzles are used. The primary nozzle begins injection early for temperature control, while the secondary nozzle is activated under high load. The result is enhanced cooling effect and peak performance – ideal for demanding road and track applications.

The Stage 2.5 system is the consistent evolution of our successful Stage 2 kits, developed to production readiness in cooperation with our sales and technology partners. The VC-50 controller, housed in a 52mm OLED round gauge, features a two-colour display, 7 freely selectable colour modes, and provides all critical system data at a glance – stylish and functional.
Intuitive control directly via the display
Boost pressure values can be set precisely and easily on the display. Injection responds dynamically and ensures consistent performance with high efficiency. Real-time data such as boost pressure (in BAR), injection quantity, fluid level or error messages make the setup transparent and safe.
Recommended for all turbo diesel engines up to 3.5 bar boost pressure.

PERFORMANCE
With the Boost Cooler Stage you’ll achieve a noticeable power increase of up to 10–25% – even with already tuned turbo diesel engines. Injecting a finely atomised water or water/alcohol mixture into the charge air improves oxygen density in the combustion chamber. The result: greater efficiency, more torque and clean, controlled combustion.
OPTIMAL COOLING
Water injection effectively cools the charge air via evaporative cooling, reducing the charge air temperature by up to 60°C. This allows for higher air density and more oxygen for combustion. Additionally, combustion chamber temperature is lowered (in-cylinder cooling), improving performance and efficiency.

TECHNOLOGY
Dual Stage Upgrade – maximum performance under heavy load!
The Boost Cooler VC-50 controller is equipped with a second output which allows the activation of an additional, larger injection nozzle (“Power Mode”). This second nozzle is engaged depending on boost pressure and can be flexibly configured to ensure maximum cooling effect and performance development in high-load conditions. (Optional, upgrade SP10350 required).

Integrating a water-methanol injection system into turbo diesel engines allows for significant reductions in nitrogen oxide (NOx) and soot emissions. Studies show that NOx emissions can be reduced by up to 30% and soot particles by up to 70%. At the same time, fuel efficiency improves, with savings of up to 5–15%, depending on vehicle type, driving style, and usage (e.g. towing).
LESS DEPOSITS IN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER
Thanks to cleaner combustion with the Boost Cooler, fewer soot particles and carbon compounds are produced that could lead to deposits. Additionally, the water injection prevents excessively high temperatures in areas such as the exhaust valves or piston region. High temperatures promote oil coking as they accelerate the burning and breakdown of oil. This cleaning effect is not only preventive but can also help reduce existing deposits (oil coking).

SNOW Performance 300 PSI UHO methanol injection pumps offer unmatched pressure, technology, and reliability. Each pump is manufactured in the USA and individually tested before shipping to ensure quality and dependability. While similar-looking pumps exist, they do not match the features of our SNOW Performance pumps.
Dual EPDM seals ensure durability and higher pressure. Proprietary internal wiring results in lower power consumption, and the integrated thermal switch protects against overheating, ensuring consistent performance and maximum lifespan – perfect for daily use, off-road and racing.

Hyper-Sonic Injection Nozzles
Optimal performance starts with optimal cooling
The Hyper-Sonic injection nozzles from SNOW Performance use a patented dual-chamber design to swirl fluids at supersonic speed and direct them through a Venturi orifice. This creates ultra-fine droplets of up to 20µm (microns), enabling highly efficient evaporative cooling.
Scientific studies (e.g. SAE Paper 2021-01-0398) confirm: The smaller the droplets, the better the cooling – with a direct impact on engine performance and efficiency. Combustion also runs cooler and more controlled, which brings major advantages for high-load or tuned engines.

3L Reservoir with Level Indicator
The 3L Boost Cooler reservoir ensures a reliable supply for your water-methanol injection system. The integrated level indicator with orange warning LED for in-cabin mounting gives an early alert of low fluid levels and protects the system from running dry. Ready for connection to our 1/4″ pressure line.
Need more range? Simply upgrade to a 9.5L or 26.5L tank. Just configure the desired tank size with your Boost Cooler system.
